Policies and Procedures
Entrance Requirements
Your child will qualify for the age appropriate class that is determined by the age they are on or before
September 1st. We require all of our children in the three and four year old classes to be toilet trained.
*Your child is enrolled upon payment of the registration fee. The fee is $150.00 for non-Wynnbrook members and $75.00 for members. The fee with military discount is $110. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Hours of Operation
Classes operate from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. One to five day a week classes are offered.
Children can be dropped off in their classroom no earlier than 8:50 a.m. each day.
Withdrawal
Two weeks advance notice must be given to the Preschool Director when withdrawing a child. Registration and
current tuition is non-refundable. Advance tuition payment will be refunded.
Late Pick-Up
All children must be picked up at 1:00 p.m. Students will only be released to someone who has been placed on
the approved pick up list for that child by the parent and filed in the Preschool office. Children not picked up by 1:10 will be sent
to our aftercare program. Additional fees apply.
Discipline Procedures
We like to encourage good behavior for all of our students through positive reinforcement. However, students who
are continually disobedient, disrespectful of others, overly aggressive, or otherwise disruptive to the
classroom-learning environment and to their teachers and peers may be disciplined may range from sitting in
“time-out”, to spending time in the Preschool Director’s office, to serving a periodic suspension from the
preschool. Corporal punishment is never used at Wynnbrook Christian Preschool.
Illness
In consideration of others, do not bring your child if they are visibly ill, or have had a fever, vomiting, or
diarrhea during the previous 24 hours. If your child becomes ill or injured at school, every effort will be made
to contact you. In the event of an emergency, if you cannot be reached, the medical release you have provided
will be utilized.
Communicable Illness
Parents are expected to notify the WCP office immediately if their child is diagnosed with a communicable disease
(ex. Chicken pox, measles, hand foot mouth disease). We also ask that you inform the office if your child has
contracted head lice, pink eye, or ringworm. Confidentiality will be honored in all situations.
Dress Code
Accidents do happen; so it is required that all children have a change of clothing each day. These clothes can
easily be kept in a back pack and brought to school each day or you can place a change of clothing in a labeled,
Ziploc bag for the teacher to keep in the classroom.
Remember that Wynnbrook Christian Preschool is a “hands-on” learning environment and the children will be exploring with lots of materials that may be messy. Dress your child “ready” to learn in this environment. We make no apologies for making learning fun!
* Label everything! This includes jackets, lunch boxes, backpacks, sippy cups, bottles, and pacifiers. This is a must for a program with over 200 children.
Potty Training
Children in three year old classes or above must be completely potty trained. After three documented accidents
the child will be asked to withdraw until training is complete. In our one and two year old classes we do our
best to facilitate any potty training efforts that you are making at home. However, we may have to ask that
some type of outer covering be put on under garments to help us keep our carpets as sanitary as possible.
